Lions Club of Damansara KL





On the 29th of August, Sunday, Lions Club of Damansara KL visited us. They came to donate a cheque of RM5,000.00 to our Home. This amount is a reward to us for helping them sell Lucky Draw Tickets for raising funds. After that we adjourned to Restoran Malaysia for the famous Kajang Satay for lunch.

We wish to thank the Lions Club of Damansara for their time and contribution.

Trip to Batu Caves together with PKIK







On the 28th August 2010, Saturday, we invited PKIK to join us for a field trip to Batu Caves in Kuala Lumpur. This trip was requested by our young resident, Somasundram and we decided to fulfill his request. As PKIK has always included us in their programs, we decided have their students join in to make it merrier. In all 20 people from PKIK joined us.

We left for Batu Caves by 9.30 am. At the Batu Caves, our Hindu Residents went in to the temple to pray and was blessed by the priest. They had a great time admiring the statues and the scenery. After that they adjourned to the Lake Gardens for KFC lunch.

This trip was sponsored by our Committee, Phoon, Chris Tan, Linda and Yeow. We are so glad that all of them had a great time.

Mdm Woon & Friends from Sg Long/Makhota Cheras




25th August 2010, Mdm Woon brought along a group of well wishers to visit our Home. They brought along foodstuff and floor cleaners to donate to us.

Dr Dog Therapy 21st August 2010






Sabrina Yeap brought along 4 volunteers and 4 Dr Dogs to play with our Residents. They performed some dog training and played with our Residents. All had a great time.

Batu 9, Yee Lan Festival



17th August 2010
We were invited to a dinner at Batu 9 to celebrate the Yee Lan Festival. 9 of our residents attended the function.

Kechara Soup Kitchen - Helping the Homeless



4th August 2010, Wednesday, 3.00 pm
We had a meeting with Justine of Kechara Soup Kitchen to try to help some needy homeless people. Kechara Soup Kitchen, like us is also an NGO. They help the homeless by distributing food to them in KL city. Our aim is to help to provide living quarters and work for these homeless people.

Visit from Local Tour Group headed by Mr Alan Pang





We had visitors from a group of local tourist on their way to Melaka. 40 visitors came and donated foodstuff and money to our Home.
