Sharing our supplies with needy families

A few families are recommended to us through JKM (Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat). One is a grandmother in Semenyih feeding 7 grandchildren all by herself and another single mother with 4 kids. We hope these groceries will ease their burden.

Sharing with other NGOs

As NGOs, we network amongst ourselves to help out the Community within our own capabilities. When we have excess, we will share with the others and we are very thankful that they also return the same to us.

Foo Yin Shi - 27th Anniversary

Foo Yin Shi - 27th Anniversary

On the 17th September 2017, our long regular donor Mr & Mrs Ong of Foo Yin Shi invited us to their 7th Month Lunar celebration. This time 13 Homes were selected to receive their generous donations of cash, groceries and lunch. 

We wish to thank them for their continuous support.

Portman College - Assignment

On the 16th September 2017, 5 students from Portman College came to interview us on for their Community Leadership Assignment. These students came to our Home last year for their Community project and we are happy to assist them in their assignment in return.

On the 7th October 2017, these students donated RM200.00 after selling apples to raise some funds.

We really appreciate their efforts, it is not the amount, it is always the THOUGHT that matters . We wish to take this opportunity to wish them all the best in their studies and career.

Pertubuhan Confucian Chung De KL, UKM

After the long semester break, Chua with his team came to do their regular community service at our Home on the 16th of September. Thank you for helping us to interact with our Residents, and helping to cut their nails.

Lions Club of KL Bukit Bintang, 2nd Anniversary cum Charity Luncheon

On the 10th September 2017, Lions Club of KL Bukit Bintang invited our Residents for their Charity Luncheon. They also gave us a goody bag each.

Our Home Profile

Our Association was started in April 2005 with the mission of helping out the old, poor, underprivileged and retarded. The present committee which is purely voluntary took over officially in September of 2006. The Committee manages the funds, maintain the premises and take care of the welfare of the Residents. During the time of the takeover, the Association was short of funds and owed a few months of rental and utilities. The Committee has to take out funds from our own pockets to keep the Association going. Thanks to our donors, we managed to get through this difficult period.
During these few years, we worked with a few other NGO’s and Associations to give better living conditions to our Residents and even manage to help other Homes which needs help by donating our excess goods to them. Some of the Associations who work closely with us and also been a source of our support are PKIK (Persatuan Rumah Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Kajang), Furry Friends Farm (Dr Dog Therapy), Kechara Soup Kitchen (Buddhist Organisation helping out the Homeless). When we have excess in terms of foodstuff and necessities, we donate them to other Homes such as Shelter Homes, Charis Drug Rehabilitation Centre , Furry Friends Farm and a Home in Puchong.

我们的团体创办于二零零五年四月份，宗旨是积极帮助老年人，贫困者和残障人士。如今的委员们是于二零零六年九月份自愿地正式上任的。委员们主要负责处理善款，维持家居环境和照顾居民们的福利。在上任期间，我们的团体曾一度面对缺乏资金的问题和欠了数个月的房租与设施费用，成员们当时必须自掏腰包以使这个团体得以继续运作下去。也很感谢善长人士的帮助，让我们成功地度过了此次的难关。.

在这数年里，们与几个非政府团体和其他的机构合作以让我们的居民拥有更佳的生活环境。另外，我们更协助其他有需要的慈善机构，例如捐出我们多余地东西予他们。当中有几个是与我们维持着良好合作关系的慈善机构，如PKIK (Persatuan Rumah Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Kajang), Furry Friends Farm (Dr Dog Therapy), Kechara Soup Kitchen (帮助无家可归者的佛教团体)。每当有多余的食物或所需的日常用品时，我们会捐给其他的慈善机构，例如 Shelter Homes, Charis Drug Rehabilitation Centre , Furry Friends Farm 和 a Home in Puchong.

APPOINTMENT OF EXTERNAL AUDITOR June 2010

For more transparency and accountability, the Committee has decided to appoint an external auditor cum tax consultant to audit the accounts of the Society so we appointed Sekhar & Tan Suite 16-8, Level 16, Wisma UOA II, No. 21 Jalan Pinang, Kuala Lumpur. as our Auditor. 委任2010的外部帐目审查员为了使透明度和义务，我们中心的委员会已决定任命外部审计师兼税务顾问进行协会帐目审计，所以我们委任Sekhar & Tan Suite 16-8, Level 16, Wisma UOA II, No. 21 Jalan Pinang, Kuala Lumpur作为我们的审查员。
