Genting Trip with Masterskill Volunteers

On the 5th of May, Wednesday, our Residents went to Genting Highlands for a day trip. Transport was sponsored by our Treasurer, Ann Yap and food and volunteers were provided by Masterskill. Everybody had a great time.

Masterskill Nursing College - Training for Nurses

Today, 24th November is the last day of the training for the Masterkill Nurses at our Home. 2 months ago, as our pilot project we invited Masterskill to send some nurses to our Home to assist in taking care of our Residents. The nurses during these 2 months learn to deal with handicap and retarded patients, take their vital statistics like high blood pressure, temperature etc. and learn physiotherapy from PKIK, where some of our residents go for physiotherapy. They also spend time teaching them exercises, colouring, singing, dancing etc.

Our residents have learn many new skills and are well taken care of with these nurses. Our heartfelt thanks to all of them and we wish them all the best. Lastly, they painted a beautiful coloured mural to cheer our Home.

Ear Waxing

Our treasurer, Ann Yap gave ear waxing treatment to our Residents. This is the third time she is doing this and also with the help of the nurses from Masterskill Nursing College.

Masterskill Nursing College - Training for Nurses

We requested Massterskill Training College to send some nurses over to help out in our Home in terms of nursing care. We were delighted that they were willing to send a batch of nursese - 18 altogether in 2 shifts. They helped out in all areas from cleaning, mopping, dispensing medicine, arranging activities, exercisng and cooking.The training will last for 2 months.

We wish to express our appreciation for Masterskill to include our Home into their training program.
